Grande Finale: Placement of the star atop of the tree so the magic of Christmas will come alive as the tree and the star are lit.
The 2nd Annual Cambie Village Christmas Tree Lighting
This community event is organized by the Cambie Village Business Association and the Cambie Village Church to help us launch the Christmas season.
Activities include a Craft Fair and Bazaar, Children’s Craft Zone, Family Game Zone, Sing-a-Long to Carols, Live Music, Hot Chocolate, and more! All activities are FREE, and will be indoors and outdoors (weather permitting).
Throughout the day on November 23rd, please visit Cambie Village merchants from W.5th to 25th for great deals to start your festive shopping. These are the merchants who help keep our street clean, safe, and beautiful year-round, and who host the many great events that bring us together as a community.
Charitable component:
- Please consider bringing along a non-perishable item for the Food Bank.
- The Cambie Village Church will be accepting donations for the repair and maintenance of its spectacular building. Any donation will be welcome to help keep this community asset open to all.
- The sale of VFD’s 2020 calendars will support the BCPFFA Burn Fund, and the Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society.
Grande Finale:
After 2pm, the Vancouver Fire Department ladder truck will be on site for children of all ages to climb upon and explore.*
As the sun begins to set, The VFD will climb upon the truck’s ladder and extend it to the Cambie Village Christmas Tree, where a firefighter will unveil the star atop the tree, and the magic of Christmas will come alive as the tree and the star are lit.*
